The day should've been a good one. Being Mello's birthday, it was a given that love and attention be showered upon him from the moment he woke up. Funny how things don't work that way, right? Remus’ eye twitched. He was just buttering a piece of toast, for Merlin’s sake… Stop staring. Glancing over at a visibly relieved Sirius, he faced James head on and glared. Don’t give the game up. Comprehension dawned on James, and he too began to eat, smoothly entering a conversation further down the table, about Quidditch. Remus sighed internally and quickly smiled at Sirius when he looked his way.
